From new homes to the homes you already love
Scott grew up following his uncle, a homebuilder, from one job site to the next. He was always interested in what he did.
After a few years in the corporate side of the home industry, Scott was back on site in 2010, when Lucas Construction started building new homes, one house at a time and then two at a time. That experience in how a house goes together is what we bring to every remodel today.
As the cost of building new climbed, more families asked us to turn the house they already had into the house they wanted. It saves time and money, and they get to stay on the lot and in the neighborhood they chose. So we moved into remodeling, focused first on bathrooms and kitchens, and the name changed with us.
It started with one shower. A client asked us to take out his bathtub and put in a shower; Scott posted the photos on our Facebook page, and the next call was from a man who wanted the exact same thing. We’ve been doing it ever since.

- Design help. We shop finishes with you, or guide you when you’d rather we chose. We work with interior designers and suppliers too.

Planning for the next twenty years
A lot of homeowners in Central Arkansas are looking ahead to retirement. We widen doorways, add pocket and barn doors, raise counters to accessible heights and build showers with low curbs and grab bars, so you can stay in your home longer and more independently.
Scott practices what he preaches. For their own house, he took drafting paper, drew a 40-by-40-foot room for the kitchen, dining and living space, and designed the rest of the home around it.
